Set in Xiangxi, half a century after the exploration of the mysterious Pingshan by Zhegu whistle and Chen Yulou, the film tells the story of Hu Bayi, who, in order to save Big Gold Tooth from a deadly toxin, leads the three fearless tomb raiders into Pingshan in search of the long-lost Six-Winged Centipede, a legendary creature in the martial arts world, to obtain the life-saving elixir.
