Research scientist Tyler is sent to the remote Canadian tundra to determine if wolves are responsible for the declining caribou population. With the help of a local Inuit guide, he sets up an observation post and begins studying a family of wolves and the caribou.
Over time, Tyler discovers that the real threat to the caribou comes not from the wolves, but from human interference.
