The Supergirl trailer has just confirmed several ways that the DCU is finally changing the character, with a completely different take than what appeared in the Arroweverse. In many ways, the Arrowverse serves a solid precursor for James Gunn's DCU, showing off an effective way to build a cohesive shared universe.
Throughout its run, the Arrowverse consisted of seven live-action shows (including Superman & Lois), and featured numerous crossover events, in addition to the references that often popped up in any given episode to further establish these stories and characters as being a part of a connected universe.
